“The Glen Ellyn Newcomers Club is a social organization for the purpose of welcoming people who have just moved to Glen Ellyn or the immediate vicinity, giving them an opportunity to get to know the area, make new friends, and become part of our social and community life” – Kathleen Culp, Founder of Newcomers in 1952
Glen Ellyn Newcomers serves over 320 women and their families in Glen Ellyn and the surrounding communities. We enjoy a variety of monthly activities to suit varied interests and every stage of life – see our Activities list below for some highlights! Our spectacular annual family events, Fall Family Fest and Cookies with Santa, are not-to-be-missed. And everyone loves a chance to walk in the annual Glen Ellyn Independence Day parade. Looking for a memorable date-night? Come to our Casino Night cocktail party or our Spring bash. The highlight of our year is the End of Year dinner in June, where we introduce our new Board and announce the Kathleen Culp Award winner – the most warm and welcoming member of the year!
We offer Welcoming Socials on the first Wednesday of every month to help you get to know our club. If you are interested in attending, please contact our Welcoming Committee (welcome@glenellynnewcomers.org) or call our information line at (630)225-5094 for a complimentary invitation.
